Kyoto-fu is one of the prefectures located in the Kansai region of Japan. It has been the capital, political, economic, and cultural center of Japan for over 1,000 years, from its establishment in 794 A.D. until its relocation to Tokyo in 1868. Kyoto is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and is often referred to as "the home of the soul" by the Japanese, making it a cultural symbol of Japan.

The economic industry of Kyoto-fu is the product of combining the traditional "artisan spirit" inherited from its long history with modern "cutting-edge technology". Kyoto-fu boasts many well-known brands of Japanese confectionery, including matcha tea, porcelain, and handicrafts that have been passed down for centuries. Additionally, internationally renowned brands such as Nintendo, Omron, and Walgreens call Kyoto-fu their home.
